MOUNTPLEASANT SQUARE, GEORGIAN TOWNHOUSE

We recently restored a Georgian townhouse located on one of Dublin’s finest squares, celebrated for its elegance and charm. Jackie Tracey Interiors managed both the design and restoration of this early 19th-century residence, overseeing works in the reception rooms, hallway, and bedrooms. Bespoke cabinetry and panelling were installed on the lower level to enhance functionality. The clients desired a sharp, cohesive finish that could accommodate their busy household, opting for a complimentary green palette in the reception rooms—soft green in the south-facing room and moody green in the study. The ceilings and woodwork were painted off-white to achieve the desired sharp look. Working on such a period property in the heart of Dublin was a privilege, showcasing its refined Georgian architecture and grandeur, reminiscent of the city’s storied past.
