SEAMOUNT HOUSE

For this detached seven-bay, two-storey neo-Elizabethan style house our aim was to create a luxury destination—a home away from home. We focused on conserving the aesthetic of this period property through a carefully curated selection of antiques and a delicate mix of old and new, ensuring all materials and finishes complemented the property's grandeur. In renovating this heritage-listed structure, we optimized room function while creating elegant and timeless interiors. Originally built as a summer house for the Talbot family of Malahide Castle, the original house was destroyed by fire and subsequently rebuilt by the Jameson family of whiskey fame, who adorned the large staircase windows with their family crest. Our team provided a full programme of bespoke joinery and plasterwork, painting and decorating, comprehensive furnishing, and turnkey styling, with meticulous effort towards creating an interiors scheme that respects the original architecture and safeguards its historical features.
